Este nuevo Air Jordan 1 High OG rinde homenaje a la fraternidad Omega Psi Phi de Michael Jordan a la que se unió durante sus días en la UNC. Fundada el 17 de noviembre de 1911, Omega Psi Phi es la primera organización fraternal fundada en una universidad históricamente negra. Este Air Jordan 1 adopta un esquema de color dorado universitario, burdeos claro y blanco, ya que los zapatos vienen con blanco en los paneles laterales de cuero, lengüetas de nailon y entresuela que contrastan con superposiciones doradas y burdeos. Bordeuax en los cordones y la marca junto con una suela de goma amarilla en el diseño.
