Previously speculated to be a 20-pair lineup replete in almost two dozen different colorways, Off-White’s latest endeavor primarily focuses on one low-top Nike Dunk style and animates it with 48 varying over lace, tongue, sock-liner, zip tie, lot number and lateral swoosh underlay colors. Shoes numbered “01/50” and “50/50” forgo the white and light grey that take over much of the “Dear Summer” collection in favor of respective, rather tonal white and black outfits. Profile swooshes also indulge in a shimmering metallic silver that delivers a louder statement than the accompanying lots. Abloh hasn’t revealed the exact inspiration behind his latest collaboration, but those details are sure to arrive in the coming months. What’s certain however, is that “The 50” marks a turning point for Peter Moore’s 36-year-old design.
