The Nike Air Max Plus "Hyper Blue" is Officially Making a Comeback

You'd be hard pressed to find a sneaker that represents grime culture as much as the Nike Air Max Plus "Hyper Blue." Originally

launched in 1998 by Sean McDowell, the shoe quickly became a symbol for Britain's underground music scene, with DJs and MCs rocking this particular pair on the daily. 2023 marks the silhouette's 25th birthday, and to celebrate this major milestone, the OG colourway is officially making a comeback.

Outfitted in a plush mesh base that fades from blue to white, the Air Max Plus is housed within a full-body cage that offers extra support. A glossy yellow Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial sidewalls, and underfoot, the chunky TN Air Max midsole is accented with fiery orange tones, just like the original from 1998. This is then finished with signature hexagonal badging along the tongue and heel, rounding off the truly legendary design.

The Nike Air Max Plus "Hyper Blue" will return either at the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024. If you didn't manage to secure your size back in the day, you definitely don't want to miss this re-release. Let us know if you'll be going for them, and in related news, the Nike Shox TL is also coming back!
