After releasing a 550, 2002R, and most recently, a 9060, Chicago's very own Joe Freshgoods is now working on his own version of the legendary New Balance 993. Set to arrive in three color options, including minty green and pastel pink flavors, we're now taking an on-foot look at the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 993 "Arctic Blue" - and it's definitely one of out favourites of the entire pack.

Releasing as part of the "Performance Art" collection, this 993 is crafted from a buttery suede construction that's smooth and supple to the touch. As seen in these photos from Yankee Kicks, they're dipped in a baby blue hue throughout, while peachy accents make their way to the flat laces, "N" logo, and midsole. Speaking of which, this unit is crafted from the Boston brand's industry-leading ABZORB DTS foam, offering the ultimate balance between comfort and response. To round it all off, "JFG" is stitched around the heel, overlaid on top of an abstract US flag motif.
