The Junya Watanabe x New Balance 1906R Steps Out At Paris Fashion Week
Thanks to collections like the "Protection Pack," New Balance's 1906R is quickly becoming one of the Boston-based brand's most popular pairs. First released all the way back in 2009, the model was originally made for the track. With that said, fourteen years later, it has swapped running for runway as we take our very first look at the Junya Watanabe x New Balance 1906R collection.
Teased at the Japanese designer's Paris Fashion Week showcase, the silhouette is painted in two monochromatic flavours including a white and black pair and a "Triple Black" option. Both shoes are crafted from a combination of mesh, leather, and suede, and feature an ABZORB midsole underfoot. While you can't see it from these shots, co-branded detailing is printed across the insoles to cement the collaboration.
Watanabe will also be taking on the 650 and the RC30 as part of his New Balance Fall/Winter 2023 line-up, so keep it locked at The Edit LDN to find out everything that you need to know. While you're here, you might as well kick off the new year with these hyped New Balances!
