product focus- JORDAN 4 BLANK CANVAS
How do you follow-up one of the greatest hoop sneakers of all time? Tinker Hatfield and his team had their work cut out for them when they began work on the Air Jordan 4, the fourth signature sneaker in the Jordan line and the sequel to the highly acclaimed Air Jordan 3.Teased in ‘Black Cement’ and ‘White Cement’ colour-ways in Sports Illustrated in November 1988, the Air Jordan 4 finally made its much-anticipated debut at NBA All-Star Game in February 1989.The AJ4 roared into the market that same year, marking the first-ever global release of an Air Jordan sneaker. Despite the initial mixed response and steep price tag, the winged Jordan soon soared to unimaginable heights.
Part minimalistic, part statement-making, the Air Jordan 4 Blank Canvas promises the best of both worlds. True to its name, this version of the Air Jordan 4 presents a colourless upper crafted with low-maintenance canvas fabric and TPU accents in the same snowy shade.Elsewhere, Jumpman branding on the tongue and heel tab make a subtle appearance via white stitches. The same goes for the white midsole encasing an exposed Nike Air cushioning unit under the heel. Underfoot, a nice surprise awaits as blue, yellow and red paint splotches on the outsole contrast the upper’s blank design.
