The JJJJound x New Balance 2002R is Actually in the Works
If you ask any sneakerhead what the best New Balance collaboration is, chances are they'd bring up something by JJJJound. From the 990v3 to the 991, the social-media-moodboard-turned-global-fashion-label has taken on quite a few NB silhouettes in the past, and now, it looks like it'll be taking on another one with the upcoming JJJJound x New Balance 2002R "Blue."
Teased via Instagram, the Montreal-based streetwear label's first take on the 2002R is exactly what you'd expect. Working on top of a grey mesh base, it's overlaid by panels of leather and suede in various shades of blue. The legendary "N" logo is stitched across the lateral and medial sidewalls in a slick black hue, and JJJJound's iconic marque is stamped on the tongues, just to remind you that this isn't any old 2002R.
Underfoot, you'll find an all-white ABZORB midsole. This is infused with N-ERGY tech for the perfect balance of comfort and cushioning. All of this is then packed in a special edition shoebox that all the ffffans will love.
Set to drop sometime this autumn or winter, the JJJJound x New Balance 2002R "Blue" is a must-cop. Make sure you keep it locked at The Edit LDN for your best chance to secure your size, and in related news, the Kith x New Balance 1700 collection pays tribute to Toronto.
