Following the long awaited return of the Mac Attack, which was made exclusively for tennis icon John McEnroe back in 1984, we're now getting up close with the silhouette's very first collaboration in the form of the Social Status x Nike Mac Attack "White."

Made in partnership with the high-end sneaker and streetwear boutique, Social Status' take on the Mac Attack works on top of a ballistic mesh base and is overlaid by cracked suede panels that deliver a vintage vibe. Silver nylon Nike Swooshes glide across the lateral and medial sidewalls, and this shiny finish extends towards the collar and heel. While you can't see it from these initial images, these metallic materials actually tear away over time, revealing a varsity chenille underneath.

Unlike the sneakers themselves, the shoebox opts for a vibrant graphic approach that also gives off an old school aesthetic. Even the laces come packed in gumball candy packaging.
