A Closer Look at the Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Ship Collaboration
After teasing his second Air Jordan 1 at the end of last year, it looks like Nigel Sylvester and Nike will be teaming up once again, this time to take on the iconic Air Ship. Images courtesy of Ralphy Ramos, make sure you read on to find out everything that we know so far.
In case you didn't already know, the Air Ship first released back in 1984, and acted as the blueprint to Michael Jordan's Jordan Brand line. That is why it looks so similar to His Airness' first signature shoe. For Sylvester's rendition, the sneaker is crafted from a crisp white leather construction and is accented with light blue suede across the Swooshes and collar.
Around the back, the usual "Nike Air" branding has been switched out for "Bike Air" as a nod to his BMX roots, and the tongue and Air midsole have both been dipped in a creamy hue for a seriously vintage vibe.
Not much else is known about the Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Ship at this moment in time, but you can expect these to drop within the coming months. Let us know what you think of this collaboration, and while you're here, you might as well get a sneak peek of the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Palomino"!
